AmSECC was honored to partner with the Chicago Council on Global affairs in hosting Martin Donnely, Permanent Secretary, United Kingdom Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Mr. Donnely discussed the British perspective of the future of the European Union.
Kina Bagovska, Founder and President of the Bulgarian American Heritage Center (BAHC) in Chicago was born in Bulgaria and has called Chicago home since 2000. She received a Masters Degree from the Academy of Arts in Poland and currently works as an art teacher and journalist.
Channeled Resources Group, a globally active supplier to the paper and packaging industry, is interested in expanding their reach to the Eastern and Southeastern European region.
BalkanViator is a newly founded website which serves as a search engine for over 20.000 officially registered bus routes, 1000 taxi services, and information on carpooling in the Balkan region. The site is currently translated into seven different languages with plans to expand to nine.

In partnership with the American Southeast Europe Chamber of Commerce (AmSECC), Governor’s State University (GSU) students accompanied attended the Road Map 2011 Conference in New York City. The annual conference was organized by the Federation of Balkan American Association (FEBA), hosting over 2000 students, medium and large business representatives and international government delegations from the United States, and Southeast Europe.
On April 13, 2011 in Chicago, the Austrian Business Agency and Ostina hosted entrepreneur, Dr. Alexander Krajete, for an exciting discussion about biotechnology and sustainable energy.
