From its founding in 2009, AmSECC has been committed to its mission to aid in economic development, cultural exchange and charitable endeavors between the United States and Southeast Europe. Miles to GO aims to promote awareness to the American public on the topic and to raise monetary assistance to support UNICEF’s work in the region.

One day prior to the Miles to GO event, twenty-three members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national soccer team – including head coach Mr. Safet Susic signed their new Adidas jerseys and other official FIFA merchandise. The team is heading to Brazil for the country’s historic first appearance in the World Cup. The items were generously donated by the Jokanovic Family and the signing of items was facilitated with the great help of Mr. Fadil and Mrs. Dzejna Alispahic.

AmSECC continues its efforts to raise funds to help Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia as people rebuild after May’s devastating floods. Merchandise autographed by the Bosnian soccer team is now up for auction on ebay. Please view the following items on ebay for more information and to bid. Please share!

Generous support was received from business representatives such as Mr. Mike Everson of Home Depot, Mr. Mirsad Kljucanin of Country Financial, Mr. Fadil Alispahic of Fifth Third Bank, Mr. Narcis Agic of Intercontinental Hotel Magnificent Mile Chicago, Mr. Stevco Nicolov of SN Cleaning, and Mr. Davor Jokanovic of Arete’ Renovators.

Ms. Casey Marsh delivered remarks on behalf of UNICEF, outlining the work they are already engaged in on the ground including rebuilding schools and providing food and shelter. Ms. Marsh thanked AmSECC for its commitment towards assisting in this endeavor.
